A long time ago I gave my brother my old sofa when I brought a new one. He recently decided it was time to get rid and as he can’t get it out of the house easily (god knows how we got it in there in the first place), the only way to get it out was to break it up into smaller bits. In doing this he was able to answer an age old question…..just what exactly falls down the back of the sofa?
Well Im here to enlighten you, and it is, well erm a bit weird what you find down there: In one 2 seater and one 3 seater sofa the following were recovered: (Incidentally not all of this can be attributed to me as it was second hand when i got it!)
The old classic – loose change: £5.63 to be exact.
5 lighters
2 old rizla packets
49 pens! – seriously I didnt even know i owned 49 pens
A spoon with what looks like yoghurt on it
A sock that had become rock hard
A fork
A pair of glasses
2 rulers
One hand written note to persons unknown that said something about making a house a home but was quite hard to read as it was so old!
That is one random list! If anyone bashes up their old sofas I’d be interested to know if you can beat 49pens. I think that must be some sort of record!
